Why were youth sizes so hard to find?

Stocked apparel is a bet.

To make a design, a brand orders a minimum run of every size and hopes it sells. For adult sizes in a team's main colors, that bet works. For kids' sizes spread over dozens of teams, it usually doesn't, so most teams never got a youth version. For years our honest answer to parents was "only for a few teams."

Made to order takes the bet off the table

With our new manufacturer, each youth tank or hoodie is printed after you order it.

We don't need to stock a pile of size YM for every team, so we can offer far more designs in youth sizes. We're adding more teams and designs as the artwork is finished, so check back often.

The first drop: 28 AHL tie-dye designs in youth

The first youth lineup comes from our new AHL Tie-Dye Collection, in the same team colors as the adult versions.

That's 27 AHL clubs, with the Tucson Roadrunners in maroon and purple, from the Abbotsford Canucks to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

What size should I get for my kid?

Between sizes? Size up.

• Kids grow. A hoodie with room to spare lasts the whole season.
• Tanks layer well. A youth tank under a hoodie handles a cold rink. When they get warm, the hoodie comes off.
• Check the chart. Exact measurements are on our sizing chart.

How long do youth tanks and hoodies take to ship?

About 2–3 weeks, because everything is made to order.

If it's a birthday, a team party or a holiday gift, order a few weeks before you need it.
